responsible for managing, delivering, and maintaining high level sales within The Men’s Store (stand alone dual box location)—directly assigned to Men’s Career including: Men’s Tailored Clothing, Men’s shoes, and Men’s Dress Furnishings. 40% total box volume as largest single unit ownership.
cumulative assignment volume @ 5.730 million dollars (furnishings @ 2,997.3mill, tailored clothing @ 1,671.1mill, m. shoes @ 1,062.4mill) FY 2019. strategically growing business units above annual projected sales plan by $207,900 cumulatively.
LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE MANAGEMENT |
• daily: served as an experienced and tenured store leader supporting total store sales and overall customer experience (20mill).
• teamwork: high leadership team collaboration between & across multiple diverse business units including big ticket furniture and men’s causal classification (my shop).
• total store leadership assignments: manager in charge of total store customer experience (MIC of Magic) FY 2018, FY2019, FY2020. championing total experience through business communication and recaps. reporting total experience score alongside senior leadership during all district and regional walkthroughs/board meetings (deep dive).
TALENT MANAGEMENT, RECRUITING, & MENTORSHIP |
• coaching: consistently coaching, training, and developing team toward growth mindset & stimulating existing paradigms.
• talent sourcing: proactively scouting, interviewing, & retaining a strong bench sourced through social & physical networks.
• college recruiting representative: partnering/collaborating with corporate & central colleagues from buying and planning (as well as store teams) in order to recruit candidates into Macy’s Executive Development Program / Summer internship. Representing company brand at university career fairs and leading panel discussions on career opportunities after college in order to build company wide talent bar.
• Colleague Learning and Development Experience Mentor: serving as a senior executive mentor to internal candidates for leadership and developmental opportunities. successively transitioning sales level team members into higher positions of store leadership.
• stores executive trainer: overseeing the training & on-boarding of newly hired store executives within the district. oversaw the training of over 5 new executives within the district. facilitating leadership training and brand-right learning standards related to area specific roles & responsibilities, floor supervision, execution guidelines, company-wide tools & resources, strategic initiatives, etc.
TAILORED CLOTHING |
• product launch & content creation: English Laundry in-store product launch and content creation. produced original brand content that was shared/reposted by English Laundry and “liked”/“followed” by Alex Gushner (Boyds). One of five doors to receive English Laundry designer suiting. outperforming flagship doors including Hearld Square, Aventura FL, and Fashion Square Serman, CA in total unit sales. responsible for driving 53% total company full price/protected AUR sell off units through June week 4 (hitting promo July week 1)
• groomsmen @ macy’s: instrumentally facilitated and captured 3 large groomsmen transactions resulting in over $8,000 in client revenue. organized & coached selling specialists on large ticket wedding sales, styling, and logistics. fostering long term relationships with clients and ensuring overall valued satisfaction.
• replenishment strategy: assumed ownership over stock flow and replenishment functions in order to support off trend business growth (Merchandise Team Manager function). facilitated operational back-to-front- scans to streamline replenishment process weekly. trained and supported all replenishment processes with selling team by attaining their buy-in.
MEN’S SHOES & DRESS FURNISHINGS (ACCESSORIES) |
• merchandise flow & presentation:overseeing the execution of new merchandise onto the sales floor in under 24hrs. utilizing RFID technology to ensure optimal merchandise representation while managing stockroom logistics/flow.
• promotion: ensuring all elements of the shoe floor communicates a strong promotional value during key sales events through signing and open sell step-outs.
• RFID-back-to-front: replenishing process in men’s dress shirts (top volume department compared to total men’s store) while also focusing on strategic repackaging process. partnering with external third-party vendors in order to provide additional support and resources to replenishment/repackaging process.
